Are you curious to find out what etching is all about? Or are you looking to try something new, or something creative to do with family or friends? Then contact me to learn more about printmaking! My studio in Fowlers Yard by the banks of the river in central Durham provides access to professional quality printmaking equipment and and materials, and with over 20 years of etching experience , I will share my knowledge and skills in practical hands-on sessions delivered in a welcoming, secure and friendly atmosphere. 

The day will start off with an overview of what etching is, followed by more detailed explanations of the techniques that I commonly use, reinforced by step-by-step demonstrations. You'll then try these techiques for yourself, and I'll be there to supervise all day, providing help and support throughout the process.

You will come away with your own copper etching plate, and the resulting print that it creates... and the valuable experience of trying out a versatile and unique art form.

For 8 hours of tuition
​
1- 2 -1 = £200    
2 people = £150 each
3 people = £125 each
4 people = £100 each

I prefer one-to-one tuition, as this means the time can be tailored to suit your specific personal requirements and abilities, and provide ample opportunity for experimentation  and creativity. Alternatively if you would like to share the day with family or friends, I can offer workshops for up to 4 people. As the studio space is limited, this will feel quite 'cosy' but it also means the individual cost will be reduced and you'll also benefit from the constructive feedback that a group situation provides, and the enjoyment of a shared experience. 
WORKSHOP VOUCHERS ARE AVAILABLE TO BUY AS GIFTS, AS A CARD OR IN DIGITAL FORM. 
Workshops are for adults only, and although very closely supervised, participants will be using the workshop at their own risk. If you are interested in attending a workshop, please contact me here online, as I'll need your email address to send you additional information and reference material for the workshop.
